I live in High Peak, with my beautiful Rainbow daughter Siobhan and my partner Phil,

We sadly lost our first baby in 2010, and in 2011 we were blessed with our daughter.

My reason behind the mission is that on the day I lost my first born a consultant asked me why did they not give you a stitch, I went out of my way to find out more.

My promise to my first born, born sleeping was that I will help others and make a difference to maternity.

ABOUT US

Our story more in brief:

In 2010 we our loss our first born due to group b strep and a weak cervix in 2011. I gave birth by emergency c section to my 2nd daughter.

I decided after recovering from a large breast abscess that ended up as a hole in my breast for 6 months, that I needed to do something positive, and to give a bit back.

I decided I wanted to do a pprom project / pre-term birth project, thats when your waters break b4 37wks.

Wanting to raise awareness of pprom, in aid to support women who have to
1. research into pprom, what are the factors of what causes it, anything to do with uti infections to other factors such as a weak cervix

2. Support women / families who would like to try to maintain there pregnancy

3. to give people the info that is required so when they do lose there waters, that life making decisions are taken with all the facts on board, sometimes they are given the chose to abort due to medical reasons

4. to offer support at a very emotional time

5. to offer and guide women to the right support for when there babies are born premature

6. to offer support for when women lose a baby

7 . to offer support for there next pregnancy and much more.

In order to do a research project we need to raise over 60k plus, some say, why do we need research?

Well we say, I had a stitch in my second pregnancy, and also regular swap tests done for uti and group b strep tests, I consider that a good enough reason, to give people the chance to either become parents or to expand there familes, to be blessed with a baby is a amazing gift.
